What this is
Delirium Academy is a free, open educational resource on delirium for healthcare professionals, created and maintained by one person: Professor Alasdair MacLullich, Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Consultant Physician, and co-developer of the 4AT. It is a personal, independent project.
Funding
Delirium Academy has no external funding of any kind: no grants, no adverts, no sponsorship, no industry involvement. Costs are met personally by the author.
How content is made (AI policy)
Some content is drafted with AI assistance. No clinical page is published without review, editing and sign-off by Professor MacLullich; pages awaiting that review are clearly marked as drafts. AI is never used to invent references, statistics or claims – anything unverifiable is removed. Content is licensed CC BY 4.0 (the 4AT instrument itself has its own terms – see the4at.com), which permits reuse, including by AI systems, with attribution.
Editorial process
Every substantive page states its author, its clinical review status, and when it is next due for review. Errors are corrected promptly. Independent named reviewers will be credited on each page as the site grows.
